US Kayak Polo Nationals

September 15-17, 2006

Fort Collins, Colorado

Entries are open for the following divisions:

Club A
Open to US clubs who will compete for the title of US National Canoe Polo Champions. Team members must be US Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold a current work visa for the US.
Club B
Open to US clubs who meet the same eligibility requirements as for Open A, but who feel they are not up to a standard of play to be competitive with the top teams. The organizing committee will let teams assess their own ability, but reserve the right to move a team up to Open A if they are of an appropriate standard.
Women
Open to any all female team who will compete for the title of US National Canoe Polo Women Champions. Team members must be US Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold a current non-tourist visa for the US.
Junior (U21)
Open to any team where all players have a 21st birthday in 2006 or later. Team members must be US Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold a current non-tourist visa for the US.
Open
Open to any group of players who wish to put a team together.

Each player also needs to fill out a waiver at the competition. A waiver form must be completed by everyone participating.
You can download the USACK Waiver Form here and bring it with you to save us all some time.

Entry Fees: $300 per team (includes t-shirts) plus $15 per head for the Friday night Fiesta Mexicana (includes dinner/beer)
$50 late fee if entry is made after September 1.
The USACK insurance fee of $10/player is payable at registration for non-USACK members.

Please make checks out to Mountain Kayak Polo and send to 617 Laporte Ave, Fort Collins CO 80521.

  • Players may compete for a maximum of two teams. No player may compete in both Club A and Club B divisions. Club A players cannot also play in the Women\u2019s division. In 2006 Nationals, for development purposes, U21s are excluded from these rules.
  • At least three entries in a division are required for that division to be accepted into the competition.
  • All efforts will be made to give each team at least five games during the competition (this will depend on the level of entires).
  • The organizers will be fairly lenient on what teams 'qualify' as a club team (and will refer questionable cases to the USACK). We will loosely define 'club teams' as folks who normally play together. Non-US club teams cannot progress beyond the first round (all their games will be considered scratch matches). Efforts will be made to give these additionals scratch games.
  • The Open Division is expected to provided competition for the US and Canadian National Teams and any other teams of 'all-comers'.
