Transport

We will assist those who need transportation of their boats between Denver and Ft Collins. A trailer provided by Horner Painting will be parked at a pre-determined location at Denver International Airport (DIA). A combination lock will be fitted to the rear door and the code given to those who want their boat transported. You will need to locate the truck, put your boat inside the trailer and lock it. Once all participants arrive, someone from MKP will pick up the trailer and transport the boats to the event site. There will be time to come by, prior to the competition, to retrieve your boat and check/repair outfitting, etc.

Specific instructions will be communicated a few days before the event or as soon as requests are finalized. Immediately after the event finals, the truck will be driven to DIA for the reverse procedure.

We will post contact information for the person who will handle these arrangements by 15 August 2006. The following information will be requested in order to accommodate your request: DIA arrival times, carrier and flight number Number of boats DIA departure times, carrier and flight number All boats must be clearly labeled (inside) as to specific owner, team and region in such a way as to endure the entire weekend.

There are many rental car options out of DIA where you can pick up your own transport. Another alternative is the Shamrock Shuttle, which operates round-trip rides between Fort Collins and DIA.

Note that public transportation within Ft Collins is not a reliable option.
